Hey guys, I just got my DNA results back and I am blown away! It turns out I am half Korean and half white, and I couldn't be more proud of my heritage. I've always known I had a strong connection to my Korean roots, but seeing it confirmed in my DNA is truly amazing.
My Korean Ancestry
As you can see from my DNA results, I am very strongly Korean. This is no surprise to me, as I grew up immersed in Korean culture and traditions. My parents made sure that I understood and appreciated my heritage, and I am so grateful for that.
One of my favorite parts of being Korean is the food. Korean cuisine is incredibly flavorful and varied, with lots of bold spices and unique ingredients. Some of my favorite dishes include bibimbap, kimchi stew, and of course, Korean barbecue. There's just something about the smoky, savory flavors that is so satisfying!
My White Ancestry
In addition to my Korean heritage, I am also half white. This was a bit more surprising to me, as I don't know as much about my European ancestry. However, I am excited to learn more and explore my roots.
One thing I do know is that I have a strong connection to Scotland. My grandmother on my dad's side was Scottish, and we used to celebrate all the Scottish holidays when I was growing up. I even have a kilt that I wear on special occasions!
Celebrating My Heritage
Overall, I am so grateful for the diverse heritage that I come from. Being both Korean and white has given me a unique perspective and understanding of the world around me.
